About My Clients
I love working with people who are truly ready to dig in and explore who they are; those ready to put in the work necessary to make lasting changes in their life. I have experience working with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, substance abuse, relationship problems, divorce and separation, low self-esteem, stress management, LGBTQ, and trauma recovery, among others.
My Background and Approach
My practice is primarily guided by person-centered therapy. This approach will provide you with methods to solve problems, utilizing your own strengths and respecting who you are as an individual. I will always try to understand your point of view, listening from a nonjudgmental and caring place. I will work to understand your experiences and help define your goals. I take a warm, collaborative, and direct approach toward helping you uncover inner strengths, skills, and focus on your desire to overcome life’s biggest challenges. Occasionally, I may use other approaches to help facilitate your progress in sessions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and/or worksheets and activities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe a client's self-awareness is key to developing self-direction and independence.
