About My Clients
I love to help individuals who are struggling with their mental health, processing a past or current traumatic experience, dealing with grief/loss, or simply needing support from someone who cares. I am very interested in working with adults who are ready to make a positive change for themselves. I like working with clients from all backgrounds and aim to provide a safe, inclusive space for anyone who wants to participate in therapy!
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Texas. I received my Doctoral degree in Social Work from Capella University and my Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma. I have been practicing in various therapeutic roles, primarily with children and families, for twelve years. In order to help clients process and make positive changes in their life, I utilize therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
On a personal level, it is very crucial that I make myself available to serve people from all walks of life, genders, backgrounds, religious/spiritual beliefs, sexual orientations, races/ethnicities, etc. I aim to create a judgment-free space for clients to process anything they would like to process without fear of shame. I am an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and believe all people have the right to live the life that makes them feel safe, loved, and whole. Whoever you are and whatever you believe in, I have space for you!
