About My Clients
Many people I work with have tried traditional talk therapy and are looking for something more grounded and refreshing. I work with individuals and clients who have experienced trauma, grief, anxiety, and relationship issues. Many people I work with are also ready to grow and make a change in their lives, and need support in the process.
My Background and Approach
I received a master's degree and clinical license in Art Therapy from Hofstra University. I've also completed post-graduate trainings in Nature-Based Therapy (Ecotherapy), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for adolescents and families, and have taken the Gottman Level 1 training for couples therapy. I offer therapy in outdoor settings or in a yurt-style office that maintains a strong connection to the natural environment. Sessions blend conversation with self-reflective practices, practical tools, and creative or nature-based experiences such as walking sessions, art-making, and guided prompts. My educational and clinical experience has afforded me a variety of tools and skills. However, at it's core, my work is relational and I believe a strong trusting therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal and spiritual beliefs are rooted in the understanding that we are deeply interconnected with one another and with the natural world. From a trauma-informed perspective, this belief emphasizes safety, compassion, and respect for the ways our experiences shape us. Recognizing interconnectedness helps me approach myself and others with greater empathy, knowing that individual pain does not exist in isolation but is influenced by relationships, systems, and environments. This interconnectedness supports self-care that I have found can be nurtured by practicing healthy boundaries, seeking support, and giving ourselves time to create and reflect.
