About My Clients
Couples of all kinds! I am best suited to working with couples who are committed to learning and growing with their partner to create a better intimate relationship. I also love working with individuals who are having difficulty navigating anxiety and general distress.
My Background and Approach
Dr. Cohen (she/her) specializes in treating anxiety and relational difficulties from an integrative perspective. She received her master’s in clinical psychology from New York University and later earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University with specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapies and neuropsychology. After moving to Colorado, she completed her one-year pre-doctoral internship at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center where she received extensive training in providing compassionate and empirically-informed care to individuals and couples. Currently, Dr. Cohen works full time in private practice with the goal of helping her patients improve their relationships with themselves, their loved ones, and the world around them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I value transparency and authenticity above all else. It is paramount to the work that we do that we all show up with our strengths as well as our flaws. Therapy is a non-judgement zone where we will not shy away from the harder topics, at the pace that feels safest for you. I believe deeply that people are meant to be seen and accepted for who they are. In therapy, you can expect to learn skills to help you figure out who that is and who you want that to be both individually and in relationship.
