You've come a long way, baby. But somehow, those old ways of thinking and feeling about yourself have followed. At work, and with your friends, it looks like you have it all together. If anything, you're the first to lend a hand to others, even when you are running on empty. But something is missing, something is wrong, and its gnawing at you. You don't know what you want or need most of the time. But you know you need more and something is standing in your way. We can figure it out together.
My Background and Approach
I am not a distant, blank faced analyst, but instead am responsive, affirmative, and collaborative in my approach. As your therapist, I’ll focus on developing a strong partnership with you, and in doing so will help you better understand yourself and your relationships. Whether that entails better understanding how your past informs your present or examining here and now moments you’d like to improve upon, I’m here to help. I seek to create a deeply collaborative, safe, and even fun space from which to work with my patients and supervisees, drawing upon Relational and Interpersonal psychoanalytic psychotherapy, HAES (Health at Every Size), and intersectional feminism as the deepest foundations for my work. Together, we will untangle the knots created by anxiety, trauma, family and relationship problems that leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, and your emotions.
