About My Clients
Many of my clients seek support reconnecting with their authentic self. It's easy to feel lost in the weeds of messages telling us who we are 'supposed' to be. These weeds may contribute to eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and low self- esteem. I find the most reward in helping clients comb through the weeds to discover themselves, acknowledge their strengths, and build a life that aligns with their true values.
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in Health at Every Size (HAES), anti-diet, and fat acceptance. I encourage clients of all ages to be the expert in their own healing process, uncover their authentic selves, and connect with their innate ability to heal. My experiences have led me to work with children, teens, and adults with a wide range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, OCD, grief and loss, autism, disability, and various life transitions. I utilize a trauma-informed and strength-based approach and incorporate a variety of treatment methods including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and disability affirming therapist. I believe that every person’s uniqueness is valuable and deserving of acceptance, belonging, and healing. I believe healing is possible, although undoubtedly challenging, and I celebrate your courage to take this journey.
