About My Clients
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling frustrated, anxious, and at a loss, often experiencing moments of despair. They struggle with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and a sense of being overwhelmed by life's challenges, often carrying the weight of negative self-esteem, grief, toxic relationships, or past trauma. They desire change and bare deeply committed to improving their lives. Together we work towards meaningful connection, self-awareness and regulation.
My Background and Approach
With nearly 20 years of experience, I specialize in helping individuals and families navigate challenges such as trauma, family conflict, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and relationship issues. Throughout my career, I've worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, psychiatric care, community agencies, and private practice, which has shaped my holistic and compassionate approach to therapy. As a mother to a child with special needs, I bring a unique understanding of the challenges that parents face and incorporate this insight into my work with families, particularly those managing complex family dynamics and emotional regulation. My therapeutic approach combines EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma healing and emotional regulation, alongside techniques from CBT, family systems, and mindfulness, to help individuals achieve lasting healing and transformation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work with individuals, particularly women, who show incredible strength in the face of adversity. These challenges, while difficult, are not defining; they are opportunities for growth, transformation, and empowerment. Emotional regulation plays a crucial role in this process. When we manage our emotional responses, we create space for self-discovery, healing, and personal development. Through this regulation, we process past pain and rewrite our narratives in a way that empowers us to live more fulfilling lives. My therapy approach focuses on helping women regain control, rebuild self-esteem, and develop a healthier sense of self, enabling them to navigate relationships, work, and daily life with greater clarity and confidence. Together, we focus on developing practical tools, creating meaningful connections, and empowering women to break free from limiting patterns, ultimately leading to a life of balance and self-empowerment.
