About My Clients

There was a time when desire felt more natural, and your body felt like your own. Now, that connection feels unfamiliar, shaped by experiences you didn’t choose or anticipate. Illness may have reshaped how you live, move, and feel in your body, affecting how you experience yourself and connect with your partner(s). Over time, intimacy may feel more complicated, and the distance between you and your partner can carry a quiet heaviness. Sex and couples therapy can help you reconnect again.

My Background and Approach

In our work together, we gently explore the disconnection you may be feeling from your body, your desire, or your partner(s), and what it has been like to carry that. Many of the clients I work with are navigating low desire, sexual disconnection, or changes in intimacy related to stress, chronic illness, cancer, or life transitions. Using a blend of sex therapy, attachment-informed, and somatic approaches, we explore the emotional, physical, and sexual layers of disconnection. This might include rebuilding communication, deepening emotional, physical, and sexual intimacy, regaining comfort and trust, and reconnecting with your body in a way that feels safe and grounded. Therapy becomes a space where nothing is “too much” or off-limits. Clients often share they feel comfortable opening up about things they’ve never said out loud, and that our work feels safe, collaborative, and deeply supportive. You can begin to feel more like yourself again -individually and within your relationship.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that people are not broken, even when life, relationships, or our bodies don’t feel the way they used to. I believe in growth, in reconnection, and in creating space for things to feel different and heal over time. My life is rooted in inclusivity and respect for all identities and relationships. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, kink-aware, polyamory affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-racist. Outside of work, I’m a lifelong Michigan State Spartan (Go Green!) and also a University of Michigan alum—so I appreciate a good rivalry. I’m a devoted Detroit Lions fan (therefore can handle plenty of ups and downs!), enjoy a good comedy (think SNL or Parks & Rec), and find that music is one of the most meaningful ways I stay grounded and connected. Across many parts of my life, I value spaces where we can go deep and also laugh along the way.
