About My Clients
Intimacy comes when we are willing to be vulnerable with one another. I view therapy as a place to practice vulnerability in a supportive environment. By learning that it is safe to experience and express our emotions we can begin to make changes in our lives. Being vulnerable and tuning into our suffering allows us to connect with others and move forward. Learning to accept and love ourselves takes practice and is an ongoing journey.
My Background and Approach
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the State of Washington (License #MG6070992). I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle in the area of marriage and family therapy with art therapy. I am working towards my full licensure and receive weekly supervision. I have been practicing in the field since 2012. My background has been in working with children, adolescence, adults, and families in a community mental health setting. Through my work in community mental health I became skilled at building treatment plans, collaborating with a treatment team, and teaching skills and providing resources. I have worked with individuals and families seeking help for a variety of reasons including anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, trauma, self esteem, life transitions, and behavioral problems
