About My Clients
My ideal client wants help finding meaning and fulfillment in their lives and is pursuing personal growth. They want to put their authentic selves into the world instead of the self that is masked by anxiety and depression or their current stressors. They want to learn to connect with themself and others and feel less alone. They want to learn to manage the obstacles that life throws at them and strengthen their resilience as a result.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2017 with my master's in clinical mental health counseling. Prior to that, I studied Psychology. In addition to private practice therapy, I have worked in the nonprofit sector and higher education. I am a licensed mental health counselor in both North Carolina and South Carolina. I offer support through difficult life transitions, help build confidence and improve communication skills like assertiveness and boundary setting. I approach couples therapy using the Gottman method. I specialize in Alzheimer's, dementia, and caregiving. My approach incorporates cognitive behavioral and acceptance commitment techniques.
