About My Clients
Sick of obsessing about food, weight, and body image? Sick of obsessing, period? Scrutinizing your body in the mirror? Maybe you are a slave to your repetitive rituals or a slave to the gym? Have you concluded, your relationship to food, exercise and your body is irreparably screwed up? Are your problems embarrassing? If you've landed on my page, chances are, you you'd like to "just eat like a normal person" or just relax without all the intrusive, unwanted BS that occupies your brain space.
How I Can Help You
I help people shift their relationship with food, weight, body image, and exercise. I also help people move away from obsessions and compulsions and free themselves from the shackles of trauma. I use some awesome modalities such as ExRP and EMDR. I'd love to help you shift the BS to the background so you can live out your dreams and pursue your passions free from chaos. I stand with my clients outside of their comfort zone. I hold my clients accountable and help them identify and work toward their personal goals. I believe there is a difference between KNOWING you are good enough and FEELING good enough. I can help you get there. I thrive on action plans and real measurable results. If you are looking for a therapist to "talk at", I'm not your girl. As a person who lived in my own hell of disordered eating for over a decade, I can assure you I get it. Ive learned a lot in my 17 years of recovery.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe my job as a therapist, is to work myself out of a job. I value effective therapy interventions that work to clear you of the garbage that holds you back. I value clear end goals and measurable results. That means you wont be seeing me for years, talking about he same problem. I have made a commitment to myself, and my clients, that I will not let my purpose and passion be drowned out by documentation, billing and a caseload larger than I can handle. I believe in quality care. I believe everyone in recovery deserves a solid connection with a therapist who doesn't have to look up their name before the next session. I only work 3 days a week so I can prioritize you. I value humor and a raw straightforward approach. I don't beat around the bush with my thoughts or ideas. I lay it all out on the table. I'm a little weird, somewhat controversial, straight up, and I'm not opposed to foul language. Feel free to shoot me a text, or send me a smoke signal.
