About My Clients
You might be the driven professional, the helper everyone leans on, or the overachieving student who’s really good at looking like they have it together. Maybe survival mode has started to feel normal, but anxiety, burnout, old stuff, or the same frustrating patterns keep creeping back in. You’ve tried to push through, figure it out, and cope your way around it, but something still feels stuck. That’s usually where I come in.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in trauma and anxiety, especially religious trauma and complex relationship trauma. Anxiety is often what gets people through the door first, but when you’re ready, we can start looking underneath it at the experiences, relationships, beliefs, or patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I also work with many neurodivergent clients and, as a neurodivergent therapist myself, I understand how masking, perfectionism, overwhelm, and feeling like you have to work twice as hard just to keep up can show up. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and my clients are never expected to defend or explain who they are in my office. I have plenty of tools at my disposal, including talk therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, and parts-informed work, but I’m not interested in forcing you into a method just because it’s available. Readiness matters. We’ll figure out together what makes sense, go at your pace, and use what actually fits you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A few things matter a lot to me: I don’t see people as broken, and I don’t think therapy is about fixing or saving anyone. I think people make sense in the context of what they’ve lived through, learned, and had to do to get by. My job is to help you understand that with a little more clarity and a lot less judgment. I’m an LGBTQIA+ ally, I support human-first causes, and I’m actively looking for more ways to get involved in the communities I care about. I also care a lot about creating space for people who don’t fit neatly into the usual mold, including neurodivergent clients, fellow nerds, and anyone who has spent a lot of time feeling like they had to edit themselves to belong. Outside the therapy room, I’m a huge animal lover, a cat mom, and unapologetically nerdy. I genuinely love seeing more therapy spaces and groups built for neurodivergent people, gamers, creatives, and others who may not always feel represented in traditional mental health spaces.
