About My Clients
My most aligned clients are smart, engaged, caring, thoughtful—and often unhappy. They're curious and deep, often too hard on themselves, and really trying to do their best. Maybe there's some past trauma that just won't stop nagging at you; maybe your inner critic works overtime. Whether we are navigating existential or life crises, wanting to work on self-compassion, boundaries, process grief, or explore spirituality, the folks in my office are passionate and curious.
My Background and Approach
We all need help becoming our truest, best, most enlivened selves. I’ve had to dive into my own therapeutic growth work to become an effective counselor, and I’ve had many excellent teachers along the way. Everything I learn, I use. I’m constantly adding tools to help myself, and you. Some of the tools I lean on the most: the Enneagram, parts work, mindfulness, self-compassion, self-inquiry, somatic awareness and embodiment. I'm endlessly driven to help you understand yourself better, to befriend yourself, and to empower you to actually create change in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A few of my core values: integrity, compassion, growth, joy, and community. Living with integrity, for me, means being in alignment—feeling, thinking, and acting as the most whole version of ourselves. Compassion is cultivating a deep understanding of our humanness, having love, care, and respect for all beings. I believe we tend toward growth as a natural process of removing inner and outer barriers to change; furthering our understanding of ourselves and others; and practicing humility and learning. Joy is an inherent part of the human experience, and I cultivate and celebrate good feelings and experiences. I believe in the idea of Beloved Community, that there is no outside, no "away"—nowhere we do not belong to each other. It's therefore our responsibility to cultivate knowledge of each other, the environment, and all beings.
