About My Clients
Are you feeling anxious, alone during pregnancy or postpartum, or feeling stuck in your life? We can work together to identify what is getting in the way of your happiness, and to learn new skills and tools to help you feel better. I aim to help individuals and couples feel better quickly while also making long-term change.
My Background and Approach
As an LCSW, I have worked with a diverse array of individuals and couples as they navigate issues including life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum, relationship struggles, stress, anxiety, and trauma. We'll create change by working on thought processes and behaviors that are getting in your way, as well as exploring the emotions and origins underneath. I will work alongside you to explore issues in depth and help you take steps towards reaching your goals. My therapy style is flexible, empathetic, and individualized, and I use humor and wisdom to help point out areas you may be getting stuck. I utilize a holistic approach that includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness practices, and education about what you may be experiencing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be approachable, and allow you to show up just as you are without feeling judged. I work to break down the power dynamic in therapy, and to offer guidance and education while also respecting that you are the expert in your own life. I offer in-person, virtual, and walk and talk sessions to be able to meet each person in the format that feels best for them. I'm passionate about perinatal mental health, and believe that ending the stigma around issues related to fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum is critical to our society.
