About My Clients
As a marriage and family therapist (MFT), myself and associate therapists at the practice are highly trained to work with families, couples and individuals, particularly around marital/relationship, communication and intimacy issues, and helping disconnected couples rediscover connection is her passion. We have availability for in person and telehealth sessions.
My Background and Approach
Laurel has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University, and a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland at College Park. She is an Approved Supervisor and Clinical Fellow of the AAMFT (aamft.org). She has given multiple workshops on couple and family relationships for several organizations, including the Pro Bono Counseling Project Annual Conference (Couples and The New Technology, 2010, available on slideshare.net).
