About My Clients
Do you feel as though you're Bill Murray living in Groundhog Day? Doing the same thing over and over but wanting something different? Do you want to make changes in your life but don't know what to do or who to ask? I have been working with individuals with sexual issues, addictions and compulsive behaviors for many years. With compassion and understanding, I have sat with individuals and assisted them in coping with their behaviors and past traumas.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider. I am a member of the American Association of Sexual Educators, Counselors, and Therapists and am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Sex Therapist. I have also received training to assist individuals with PTSD and Acute Trauma as well. Formerly a therapist in a prison, I have addressed numerous compulsive behaviors and addictions. Using strengths-based approaches and mindfulness practices, we can collaborate to help you become the best version of yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an Atheist with a Buddhist philosophy on life. I believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. But I understand that happiness is subjective, so together we can figure out what that means for you. I am welcoming to individuals from all walks of life, all races, all gender identities, and all sexual orientations. I believe that every human on this planet has the right to be happy, and that the struggle is much harder for some than others. And I am a cat AND a dog person! Talk about inclusive!
