About My Clients

I have experience working with diverse including LGBTQI and transgender clients. I have worked at Fenway Health for five years and also have a private practice. I have helped to explore issues related sexual orientation and gender identity. I am able to write letters for gender affirming treatments. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I work with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias and trauma. I also have specialized experience working with Veterans.

My Background and Approach

I strive to provide a warm, supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere where clients are free to explore their difficulties as well as reconnect with and harness their strengths. I aim to create a space where growth, healing, and transformation can occur. I do this by using a client-centered approach, listening kindly, and offering constructive feedback to help clients challenge self-defeating beliefs and behaviors. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my main theoretical orientation. My goal is to help each individual to access their unique strengths and remove any blockages that are preventing them from attaining their highest state of well-being and becoming their whole selves. I have helped clients to learn skills to better manage stress, as well as to recover from depression, anxiety and substance use using a CBT approach. Although CBT is my main orientation, I understand that each person’s needs are unique and I apply other modalities including insight orientated therapy and mindfulness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am committed to social justice. In addition to providing psychotherapy I teach community yoga classes to expand the accessibility of yoga, and donate portion of the proceeds to organizations committed to social justice. I also lead a 8 week yoga mindfulness and CBT group for anxiety and depression. This group is open to folks from the LGBTQI community and people of all diverse backgrounds. Visit for more info.
