About My Clients
My clients struggle with anxiety, anger and self-confidence. They are preteens, teens or adult women who want to find joy and healing, but haven't had a place to voice their innermost thoughts and anger. They are ready to start therapy because they are tired of feeling stuck and unhappy.
My Background and Approach
During my first career as a teacher, I experienced firsthand the toll stress and anxiety took on my body and spirit. My own therapy helped me to heal and to trust in myself and others. I strive to build this type of trusting relationship with you. My communication style is warm, but direct as I first hear your story and then help you slow down, notice, and understand your emotions. Joy, anger, sadness and fear are messages to inform your life and how you want to be living. Therapy can help you decipher these feelings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has the capacity to heal. Prior to starting my private practice, I was a school social worker and firmly believe therapy is for everyone that wants it. I speak Spanish and believe in advocating for immigrants and refugees who have who have had to live in the shadows.
