About My Clients
Therapy, when it works, is one of the strangest and most meaningful things a person can do for themselves. You sit with someone who begins as a stranger, say the things you've never quite said out loud, and something begins to shift. Not because of magic, but because being genuinely known by another person is powerful -- and increasingly rare. The people I work best with are curious, often hurting, and show up anyway. That matters a lot.
My Background and Approach
What we do together is a lot like an investigation. We'll explore your history, sense of self, relationships, and the bigger questions underneath: what you're living for, whether the life you're building actually reflects who you are, and what meaning looks like for you on an average day. I primarily practice through a psychodynamic and relational lens, and draw on practical tools such as mindfulness, coping strategies, and concrete problem solving when needed. For couples, I integrate research-backed Gottman Method Couples Therapy. The relationship between us matters a lot in this work. We'll develop our own rhythm, our own shorthand, and our own way of getting at things. I'll push you when I think you need it, and I'll find the absurdity in the hard stuff when that's what the moment calls for. If that sounds like what you're looking for, I would love to hear from you.
