About My Clients

Are you navigating the effects of trauma, often feeling anxious, disconnected, or stuck? Seeking a safe space to process your story, build self-trust, and reconnect with your authentic self. Do your goals include emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and living with more clarity and ease. I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about creating a safe and empowering space to explore your story, honor your strengths, and moving toward healing.

My Background and Approach

I’m Laura Quiñonez, ASW #112176, a Certified Trauma Professional and Associate Clinical Social Worker dedicated to providing trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. I work with adults and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and relational challenges. My practice also centers on supporting LGBTQIA2+ individuals, allies, and those from rural or underserved communities, where access to mental health care can often feel limited. My therapeutic style is grounded in warmth, authenticity, and collaboration. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with mindfulness and somatic approaches. Together, these tools support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, finding balance, and building resilience. I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about creating a safe and empowering space to explore your story, honor your strengths, and move toward healing at your own pace.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing grows strongest when it is rooted in authentic connection, cultural humility, and empowerment. My work is guided by the values of equity and social justice, and I am deeply committed to supporting those who have been historically marginalized or underserved. I’m proud to serve and stand alongside the LGBTQIA2+ community and allies, rural communities with limited access to care, and families navigating the impact of trauma. I actively support causes that align with these values, including community mental health access, trauma-informed schools, and equity in rural healthcare. I’ve also been involved in community events and outreach efforts that bring resources, education, and healing tools directly to people where they are. I believe therapy should feel safe, inclusive, and deeply human. My goal is not only to help people find relief from anxiety, trauma, or hardship, but also to create a space where their identities, cultures, and values are honored and celebrated.
