About My Clients
I help individuals and couples who are struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, trauma or relationship issues. I offer a safe space to work through issues using a strength based approach. Are you undergoing a big life change? Feeling isolated and alone? Do you feel like you have hit a road block in life? By focusing on your natural strengths and what has worked for you in the past we will navigate the issues you are faced with together.
My Background and Approach
I can help you by offering you a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space to sort through your thoughts and feelings. Perhaps this is your first time coming to therapy? Seeking help comes from a place of strength. Let me guide you through a collaborative process and show you how therapy can work for you! I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Mental Health Counseling after having a personal experience in counseling myself. My counselor got me through one of the most difficult times in my life by giving me the support and space I needed to process. I know what it is like to be a client and I think that gives me a unique perspective especially when I have a client who is coming to counseling for the first time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been trained in trauma and I believe that unprocessed trauma is at the root of many of the obstacles we run into in life. Whether it be childhood neglect or abuse, domestic violence, loss of a loved one I can guide you gently yet skillfully to release the trauma and possible even to recognize the positive (in terms of your personal growth) impact it has had on your life.
