About My Clients
I specialize in working with adults with ADHD, including those diagnosed later in life. My approach focuses on helping you better understand how your brain works and finding strategies that fit you. While ADHD is a primary focus, I also work with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I also have experience working with substance abuse and addiction.
My Background and Approach
Living with ADHD as an adult can feel confusing, overwhelming, and exhausting. You may struggle with focus, procrastination, emotion regulation, or follow-through, and find yourself feeling frustrated or discouraged without fully understanding why everyday tasks feel so hard. Adults with ADHD often seek therapy for challenges such as feeling overwhelmed, having difficulty starting or finishing tasks, procrastination followed by guilt, emotional sensitivity, or sensitivity to rejection. It's okay if you're not sure where to start. Therapy is a place where we can make sense of things together. I use a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and existential therapy. When appropriate, I also incorporate humor into sessions. For the last 4 years, I have worked at a residential treatment center for men with addiction and mental health issues. I also worked in a community mental health center for a year that offered free outpatient services.
