About My Clients
I work with couples, families, and individuals who want to build whole and healthy relationships with themselves and others. I help people understand what is getting in the way of the relationships they want and build skills and strategies to navigate the hard parts of life, whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, or something else entirely.
My Background and Approach
Before I became a therapist, I had a career in corporate America, primarily managing projects and leading people. My direct experience of how our jobs can impact our relationships (with ourselves, our romantic partners, and our families) is reflected in how I work with clients today. I am passionate about providing strengths-based, sex positive, and queer affirming care. I have training in working with older adults, grief and loss, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I use a variety of approaches in my work, including attachment theory, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and mindfulness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
--I believe we all have the capacity to grow, learn, and change, and that making changes can be incredibly challenging AND incredibly worthwhile. --I believe that we are all deserving and capable of joy AND that allowing ourselves to experience joy means we also must allow ourselves to experience pain. --I believe in protecting and cherishing trans and non-binary kids. --I believe in petting all the dogs.
