About My Clients

Each of us has within us what we need to thrive, succeed, and grow. We are each the experts of our own experiences. But sometimes, life throws things at us that leave us feeling stuck and overwhelmed. That’s where therapy comes in. If you're hoping to explore patterns in beliefs, behaviors and relationships (with a healthy dose of exploring past experiences) in service of getting unstuck and living a more fulfilled life, I might be the therapist for you.

My Background and Approach

I provide a warm, attuned, and identity-affirming space where you can work toward getting unstuck – however that might look for you. I collaborate with you to uncover and amplify your innate strengths, resources, and wisdom, and I provide encouragement, accountability, and compassion as you leverage those strengths to discover your own solutions to the difficulties in your life. I draw from CBT, emotion-focused therapy, attachment theory, and interpersonal therapy to support clients struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and identity concerns. I work to build a collaborative relationship with clients and to create space that is anti-racist, safe, and inclusive for all clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Underpinning all of my therapeutic work is a strong focus on building a warm, collaborative and trusting relationship with clients; I believe this relationship is the catalyst for change in the therapy process. Most importantly, I aim to create a therapeutic space that is identity-affirming, safe, and inclusive for clients of all identities and backgrounds. I am committed to cultivating an anti-racist, anti-oppression practice that makes space for examining the ways in which oppression, discrimination, and inequity impact my clients. I am also committed to an ongoing examination of my own identities and privileges, and how those identities and privileges impact me and shape my work as a therapist. I am open to exploring with clients areas where our identities intersect and where they diverge and how these differences and similarities show up in our therapeutic relationship.
