About My Clients

I work with adults who are healing from domestic violence, coercive control, family conflict, relationship trauma, and other experiences involving power, control, and harm. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, grief, self-doubt, or difficulty trusting themselves after manipulation, betrayal, or chronic criticism. Together, we work toward healing, healthier relationships, stronger boundaries, and a renewed sense of agency.

My Background and Approach

For more than 10 years, I have supported adults impacted by abuse, trauma, and gender-based violence in clinical and community settings. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is possible when people are provided with safety, compassion, and the opportunity to reconnect with their own strengths. My approach is trauma-informed, survivor-centered, culturally responsive, and collaborative. I draw from EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relational approaches while recognizing that our experiences are shaped by personal, relational, cultural, and systemic factors. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?” I seek to understand “What happened to you?” and “What strengths have helped you survive?” Therapy is a collaborative process. Whether you are recovering from past harm, navigating difficult relationships, or seeking healthier ways of relating to yourself and others, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing begins by remembering that much of the strength and wisdom we need is already within us. My role is to help people reconnect with their own voice, resilience, and capacity to heal. I am committed to social justice and equitable access to trauma-informed care because healing does not occur in a vacuum. Our well-being is shaped by our relationships, communities, and the systems that influence our lives. For me, advocating for survivors cannot be separated from broader efforts to advance equity across issues such as gender, race, disability, and housing security. I strive to provide culturally responsive, collaborative care that honors each person’s lived experience, strengthens agency, and supports healing with dignity, safety, and hope. My commitment extends beyond the therapy room through education, prevention, and community partnerships that help create the social conditions that make safety, dignity, equity, and healing possible.
