About My Clients
I specialize in treating people who struggle with OCD, anxiety, trauma, and/or insomnia. I strive to help my patients reduce suffering and increase joy and connection by using evidence-based treatments.
My Background and Approach
The treatment process will involve gaining an understanding of your strengths and challenges, collaboratively developing goals for treatment, and implementing tools and skills learned in therapy to live a more fulfilling, effective, and meaningful life. Therapy with me will be more directive at times so that you feel empowered to confront challenging issues. For each area I specialize in, I use approaches that I’ve been extensively trained in and that have been proven to be effective for many people: EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, or Prolonged Exposure for trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure & Response Prevention for OCD and other anxiety disorders, and CBT-I for insomnia. I received my master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Pacific University. As a former military psychologist, I have a wealth of experience providing the gold standard in trauma treatment.
