About My Clients
I work best with adults who overthink everything, texts, conversations, decisions, and are tired of anxiety running the show! Many of my clients are navigating relationships that feel uncertain or strained, including long-distance. Others are in the middle of a life transition and can't seem to find their footing. What they share is this, they're smart, self-aware, but they're tired! They don't need someone to just listen, they need tools. That's where I come in.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Master Social Worker providing telehealth therapy to adults and couples navigating anxiety challenges, life transitions, grief, burnout, and trauma. I am trained in EMDR, and have additional training in couples and relationship therapy. My practice is especially focused on helping individuals who struggle with anxiety, overthinking, attachment concerns, self-doubt, and old cycles keeping them stuck. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT,EFT, EMDR, EFT to help clients recognize unhelpful behaviors and thoughts that play a part in being stuck, and learn healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to themselves, and others. I believe in therapy, you must feel genuinely heard, supported, and challenged to grow. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationships, past experiences still impacting the present, or a life transition, I strive to hold a space where healing can occur.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of sessions, you'll find me walking trails with my sassy and slightly plump golden retriever, losing track of time with charcoal, markers, colored pencils, paint, and watercolors, deep in a good book, (perhaps trying to write a good book myself), or watching a riveting basketball game with my family, and maybe even another Netflix documentary! I believe therapy doesn't always have to be heavy to be healing; humor and healing both start with H, and that's not a coincidence. I like to bring that into the room when it's appropriate. And I feel creativity matters in this work; cathartic has 'art' in it for a reason after all. Also, if you're wondering whether it's too late to feel different, it's not. The only thing worse than time passing is letting more time pass without doing something about it!
