About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples (aged 25+) who struggle with the impacts of medical conditions, complex trauma, dissociation, and their relationships with themselves, their bodies and others. We’ll look at how past experiences show up in your current emotions, beliefs, and relationships. Insight is an important start, but we don’t stop there. The goal is emotional processing and integration, so change feels lived and embodied, not just applied or understood.
My Background and Approach
I am a Certified Trauma Professional with advanced training in complex trauma. I have six years of clinical experience and a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University where I specialized in advanced clinical practice in health, mental health, and disabilities. My graduate internships at NYC’s Mount Sinai Hospital’s NICU and the ALS Association of NYC along with my work as a therapist in community mental health programs and private practice has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse population with varying needs. I've supported clients and their loved ones during some of life’s most challenging moments including coping with life-threatening medical conditions, loss, dissociation, trauma and complicated relationships with themselves, their bodies and others. I use Internal Family Systems therapy, Attachment Theory, EFT for Couples, Imago therapy, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Self-Compassion, & the Health At Every Size framework.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and that my role as your therapist is to work alongside you to explore and conquer barriers to personal growth and promote positive change and healing. Having had experience on both sides of the therapy chair, as the clinician and the client, I’m mindful of how critical the relationship itself is to the work. I try to create a space that feels open, inclusive, and grounded. A space that is warm and where complexity, curiosity, and creativity are welcome. I see therapy as collaborative work that honors both your resilience and the parts of you that still need care. Therapy with me is a space where your voice matters, your feedback is welcome, and your inner experience is met with curiosity and care.
