About My Clients
You've been holding it together for a while now, but you've come to the conclusion you need outside support. This is when people usually find me, and I've been there myself! If you're struggling with anxiety, grief, or the impact of past traumatic events, I'd love to walk alongside you and help you face these issues confidently. I provide compassionate, warm, trauma-informed therapy to help people reduce their symptoms and get back into their lives.
My Background and Approach
I help clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, grief, and life transitions. Providing people with a safe, caring space to explore hard areas is my goal. It's a privilege to walk beside someone, providing guidance and support, as we discover their own unique solutions to problems based on their values and strengths. I bring a warm, conversational approach to therapy and want to know your story. I’m trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to treat PTSD and trauma and have found this to be a highly effective (and collaborative!) way to help people experience quick symptom resolution. I love how CBT, trauma-informed counseling, and brain-based education and interventions can provide insight and create new ways of thinking. We'll also use somatic methods like breathing, mindfulness, and grounding to get you to a place of calm.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every person can learn new strategies to live purposeful lives that make a difference in this world. I want to walk alongside clients as they identify their strengths and resources, explore problems, and implement solutions that will positively affect their lives. I know how difficult anxiety can be to manage and I want to help you experience confidence that you can be present and in control when hard things happen. Personally, I love volunteering weekly with my faith community, in particular mentoring and spending time with adolescents as they begin to figure out life! It gives me so much hope for the future. I also enjoy being outdoors, running, and grabbing a good beer with friends. Please reach out if you'd like to connect!
