About My Clients
I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and their families/partners. Together we have tackled depression, anxiety, complex trauma, LGBTQIA issues, romantic and interpersonal relationships, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
My Background and Approach
I use what I've learned in school, training, and my clinical experience to help my clients better understand their symptoms and themselves. We work together to heal the parts of themselves that need it, and then work towards building the life they want to live. I graduated from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor School of Social Work with my LLMSW, focusing on Interpersonal Practice & Mental Health in December 2017. Since then, I have received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Somatic and Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (SAFE EMDR), FLASH (as well as 4 Blinks FLASH), and Ego States. Having a large tool box means I can adjust to the person in front of me and provide personalized care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all impacted by the system we live within, in different ways. Our intersecting identities impact how much oppression or privilege we experience, and recognizing these pieces of our life can be critical to healing our relationship to ourselves, others, and our global community. None of us are free until all of us are free. I am anti generative AI and do not use it in any part of my practice or personal life.
