My name is Dr. Laura A. Fierro, and I have 15 years of experience in Social Services in both Northern and Southern California. I am a Trauma-Informed Clinician and am dedicated to helping individuals be successful in life on their terms. I view life as a journey with many opportunities for growth. I believe in the Buddhist principle of equanimity based upon being consciously compassionate and caring for oneself first, before trying to figure out the world.
My Background and Approach
My name is Dr. Laura Fierro, and I am a Clinical Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked throughout the State of California in both Southern and Northern California. I am a trauma-informed clinician specializing in Solution Focused Therapy. My treatment specialties include: relationship issues, veterans, law enforcement, familial issues, substance use, grief, trauma, sex addictions, and other life span issues that have triggered anxiety and depression. I can provide treatment in person, virtually, and over the phone. I teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels, which allows me to be well versed in innovative treatment approaches. I am a mother and wife and understand the complexities of establishing a stable work and home balance while taking into consideration that life can be full of challenges and moments of instability. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, hiking, playing with my puppies, and cooking.
