About My Clients
I work with children, adolescents, and their families. Children's primary language is play and using play therapy techniques I look to align and join with children to assist them in achieving social-emotional skills or building their self esteem. As children grow into adolescence, their verbal expression grows, however, they might continue to struggle to understand themselves or the world around them. Utilizing client centered approaches, CBT, and DBT can be helpful in supporting their journey.
My Background and Approach
I work with clients on building their own tools as well as cultivating new ones to enhance their life experience. Regardless of age, we all have strengths and unique life experiences. By joining and understanding your journey, I can provide support that will helpful across your future journeys. I utilize child centered play therapy techniques, CBT, and DBT. However, my primary focus is client centered, meaning we'll focus on developing an alliance of trust and understanding. Through this, we able to identify the tools that are specific and needed for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we can change and grow at any time in our lives, we just have to believe in ourselves. Therapy can be a vessel to your next chapter or past chapter, meeting you wherever you are on that journey. For me, therapy is a unique relationship between myself and client and does not look the same for each person.
