I have extensive training in domestic violence. In the past, I have worked as a domestic violence/sexual abuse crisis counselor. During this time, I provided support to victims of domestic violence through resources, safety plan, and crisis response. I have been trained in and practiced trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy since 2011. This is a treatment designed to help decrease symptoms of anxiety in those who have suffered from a traumatic experience.

I have experience in working with those who suffer from depression. My work is around developing awareness around symptoms, and triggers, and developing positive coping skills to manage symptoms of depression.

I have experience in working with those who suffer from a variety of anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety, PTSD, agoraphobia, and social anxiety.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented therapeutic approach that helps clients build solutions instead of focusing on problems. It's a humanistic therapy that emphasizes positive attributes and behaviors, and how they can be used to overcome difficulties. SFBT can be helpful for individuals of any age, or couples, families, and groups, and can help with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, and coping with life changes

Mindfulness-based therapies use meditation, relaxation and awareness exercises to help focus on the present moment, aiming over time to experience day to day situations and stressors in nonjudgmental and non-reactionary ways.

Trauma therapy is a type of psychotherapy that helps people cope with the emotional and mental health effects of traumatic experiences. It can help people process their trauma, manage symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other conditions, and develop coping mechanisms. Trauma therapy can also help people make memories related to the trauma less scary or anxiety-inducing, which can reduce nightmares.
