About My Clients
I specialize in the area of trauma, infertility and loss. For adolescents and college age I focus on youth who have experienced abuse and/or trauma that may have led to feelings of anxiety, depression or acting out behaviors. For adults I focus on the trauma of infertility and pregnancy loss that may bring up feelings of shame, anxiety, depression and grief. I’m also available for Consultations and Evaluations for Embryo Donation and Egg & Sperm Donation as indicated by ASRM guidelines.
My Background and Approach
I have focused my career on providing hope and healing to clients who have experienced trauma or loss. My therapy approach is individualized based on the client’s needs, utilizing the latest in evidence based treatments. I am trained in a number of evidence-based treatments including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Risk Reduction through Family Therapy (RRFT). Along with this, I also recognize that with trauma comes the importance of introducing healthy coping skills to minimize trauma responses. I incorporate mindfulness skills to help regulate and heal the brain after stress and trauma.
