About My Clients
I address the following concerns: anxiety, depression, relationships, PTSD/trauma, education/career, grief/loss, marriage/family, separation/divorce, parenting, adoption/fertility, and disabilities. I presented research at the American Psychological Association, and I keep abreast of changes in the field.
My Background and Approach
As a professor, I taught a myriad of graduate courses including psychotherapy, psychological testing, and ethics. I am warm, accepting, and non-judgmental. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach and focus on reducing stress and strengthening relationships. I listen carefully and will help you think through your situation (past, current, future) objectively. I will help you clarify and prioritize goals, brainstorm options, and develop a realistic plan of action. Fear of the unknown is universal, and I will help you prepare and adjust to any changes that you are contemplating or experiencing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in living an authentic life and in becoming the best version of yourself.
