My Background and Approach
I find importance in applying whole-body care, using a person-centered, strengths-based approach during therapy services. We will work together to customize services to best fit your needs. As a mental health clinician, I work actively to provide a safe space to meet you where you are at in your journey. After all, you are the expert in your life. Cedar Hills Health recognizes the importance of all areas of wellness, understanding that each part of the body makes up the complete self. I have several years of experience working with adults who experience severe and persistent mental health symptoms, including personality disorders, depression, and bipolar disorder. I have specialized training in grief and loss, along with training in holistic, whole-body care to best support all parts of self. I also have experience working with life adjustments with senior age individuals 65 years +, which is an area I am passionate about as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mental health advocate, I am an active member of local communities working to reduce stigma, remove barriers to accessing mental health services, and provide education to the community to improve mental health awareness. I find importance in including all parts of self, such as mind, body, spirit, and social supports, which can be referred to as a biopsychosocial way of practice. I like to incorporate holistic practice into treatment planning if appropriate, such as self-care, nourishing our bodies, spending time in nature, with animals, and other supportive individuals.
