About My Clients
As an LMFT I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them reach their goals for personal growth and mental stability. I work with adolescents and up on a wide range of issues and topics ranging from anxiety to gender identity to martial/relationship problems. My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and owner of Family Resources, Inc. I graduated with my Master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Capella University in 2009 and have a Doctorate degree from Capella University in counselor education and supervision in 2015. I also hold a bachelors degree in Music Therapy from Florida State University. Though I may be graduated, I still attend many trainings throughout the year. I have been providing therapy services for over 13 years. As an LMFT, I operate using a systemic point of view which allows me to learn and understand you from many angels as well as the systems that affect your daily life and values. I am a great listener and do my best to give you the attention and help you need to work through the struggles you are facing. My empathy and understanding will allow you to say what you need to say without feeling inferior so you can reach your mental health goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people can grow and learn and continue to do so throughout their lives. This doesn't just happen educationally, it also happens mentally and emotionally. As your therapist, I will take into account your personal beliefs and value systems while also helping you learn or explore new ones facilitating personal growth both mentally and emotionally. I also believe you have the right to be you - your true, authentic self. Sometimes, it can be hard to know the true you or express the true you. I would be happy to help you do this - to find, be, and express your true self.
