I use CBT with almost all of my clients so that they are able to challenge their thoughts and make changes to their behaviors that result in lasting reductions in their symptoms long after therapy is complete.
I teach 8-week Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to adults, as well as a modified version to kids, teens, and families. I also use mindfulness with almost all of my clients.
I use exposure therapy to treat OCD and most anxiety disorders. I have also used it to treat some BFRBs.
I use CBT and mindfulness to treat all anxiety disorders, including Separation Anxiety, Panic Disorder with and without Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Selective Mutism.
I use Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) to treat OCD in children, teens, and adults.
I have specialized training in treating BFRBs, and have found a treatment approach that combines elements of CBT, ERP, HRT, and mindfulness to be very effective in treating these disorders. There is not a one-size-fits-all treatment for BFRBs, so it is very important to first understand why you are doing the behaviors or what needs they are serving.
