About My Clients
I work with motivated adults who are ready to engage in therapy and make meaningful change. Many of my clients are professionals, parents, or college students who feel burned out, anxious, self-critical, or stuck despite appearing capable. I help with stress, burnout, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, boundaries, and life or career transitions. In our first session, we’ll clarify goals and create a practical plan for lasting change!
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist with over 18 years of experience helping children to adults manage stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My background includes work in psychiatric hospitals, university counseling centers, chronic pain programs, and family-based systems, giving me a broad and practical understanding of how emotional struggles show up in real life. I specialize in working with motivated adults—often professionals, parents, and college students—who feel overwhelmed, self-critical, or stuck despite doing “all the right things.” My approach is kind, respectful, thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. I focus on helping clients understand patterns, strengthen boundaries, and develop tools they can actually use. My goal is to support meaningful, sustainable change that improves daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy, for me, is about helping people understand themselves, their patterns, and the systems they’re navigating—work, family, and relationships—so they can make more intentional, sustainable choices. Meaningful change comes from thoughtful exploration, honest feedback, and learning new ways to respond to stress and emotions. My approach is shaped by over 20 years of experience across diverse settings, including hospitals, university counseling centers, chronic pain programs, and family-based systems. I work primarily with capable, high-functioning adults—often professionals, parents, or college students—who feel overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, or stuck despite doing “all the right things.” I value integrity, clarity, and boundaries in therapy. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach drawing from CBT, mindfulness-based, psychodynamic, and solution-focused frameworks, with an emphasis on real-life relevance and lasting change.
