About My Clients
Sometimes that voice inside your head becomes your worst enemy. It may try to convince you that you deserved that bad thing that happened to you, you aren’t good enough, or that it’s hopeless to think your situation may improve. I believe you have the strength to overcome whatever has happened and when you do, you can continue growing into the life you have always dreamed of living.
My Background and Approach
My goal as a therapist is to listen to your needs and supply you with tools for you to graduate from therapy empowered and resilent. I love to work myself out of a job! I provide treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Treatment is individualized with your unique strengths and needs in mind. I utilize evidenced based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy, TF-CBT, Mindfulness, play therapy, narrative, solution focused brief therapy. I am able to provide meaningful interventions that can be employed in several sessions and others that are more extensive depending on your needs and objectives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work as a psychotherapist and my training is in Clinical Social Work. The reasons I felt drawn to Social Work is the critical componet of social justice. As social workers we are trained thoroughly in assessing a client's needs and strengths in the enviroment. I frequently find myself working with clients to increase resources and natural supports in their enviroments, or tolerating distressing situations until a change, acceptence, or solution can occur.
