Anxious thoughts can make us doubt ourselves, activate unrealistic fears, overanalyze situations, and excessively worry so much that we feel powerless, helpless and stuck! Feeling anxious can affect our ability to function, concentrate, feel calm, and live in isolation. ​If you can relate to any these symptoms, know that you are not alone. My goal in treatment working with you is to support you with the proper level of care adjusted to meet your personal needs.

Depression may cause people to experience some of the following symptoms: constantly feel sad, tearful, unmotivated, finding it difficult to go to work and connecting with others, practice self criticism, or event just getting out of bed may feel a challenging thing to do. My goal as your therapist is to discuss with you evidence-based treatments that best fit your needs for treating symptoms of depression.

Symptoms of PTSD can severely impact day to day life and can present as: flashbacks, vivid nightmares, sleeping difficulties, avoidance of thoughts, feelings associated with the traumatic event among other symptoms. I am certified as a clinical trauma professional (CCTP) therapist and will provide you with an evidence-based treatment to support you in your mental health journey at the speed that feels more comfortable to you.

Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to and worsen our emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. These spontaneous negative thoughts also have a detrimental influence on our mood. I enjoy working with this approach because it centers on identifying and changing inaccurate or distorted thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors.

DBT addresses destructive or disturbing thoughts and behaviors while incorporating treatment strategies such as emotional regulation and mindfulness. This approach main goal is to teach clients how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.

Attachment theory focuses on relationships and bonds between people, including those between a parent and child and between romantic partners. Research suggests that failure to form secure attachments early in life can have a negative impact on behavior in later childhood and throughout life. My goal in therapy is to help clients identify these maladaptive patterns and create new ones that would provide clients with a healthier relationship within themselves and others around them.
