First Step Therapy is a private practice created in efforts to provide mental health services to adults who struggle with depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship issues and toxic attachment traits.
My Background and Approach
In my practice I approach therapy from an empathetic and compassionate integrative therapy approach, providing you with techniques from different therapeutic orientations that best suits your presenting problem. I will work closely with you to create a treatment that meets your personal needs and honoring your cultural and developmental upbringing. I provide you with high quality care and the modalities I incorporate in my practice are evidence based such as: CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), attachment theory, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and Processing).

In both personal and professional life, I attempt to be an LGBTQIA + Ally, antiracist, and promote human kindness. Know that whether you are considering therapy for the first time or have attended therapy in the past, I welcome you as you are and look forward to working with you in building a nonjudgmental, safe, and respectful space where the only thing you have to focus on is your mental health journey.
