About My Clients
My clients are often thoughtful, self-aware, and capable people who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They may be navigating trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, body image concerns, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, chronic illness, grief, or major life transitions. Many have spent years trying to understand themselves but continue to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or self-critical. Together, we work toward greater self-understanding, healing, and self-trust.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults navigating trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image concerns, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and relationship challenges. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. I integrate EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, IFS-informed parts work, ACT, mindfulness, somatic interventions, self-compassion, and cognitive-behavioral strategies. I believe many symptoms make sense when viewed through the lens of a person's experiences, relationships, and nervous system responses rather than as something that needs to be fixed. Together, we explore patterns, beliefs, emotions, and protective strategies while building practical tools, self-awareness, and meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are doing the best they can with the experiences, resources, and coping strategies available to them. Many of the behaviors and patterns that create distress today once served an important purpose and deserve understanding rather than judgment. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person's unique story. I do not believe therapy is about fixing broken people. Instead, therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, heal from painful experiences, strengthen self-trust, and reconnect with your values. I also believe health cannot be accurately measured by appearance, weight, or body size alone. I practice from a weight-inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming perspective, supporting clients in building trust with themselves rather than relying on shame, criticism, or rigid expectations to create change. Healing is possible, and meaningful growth often begins with self-compassion.
