My Background and Approach
My approach in therapy is unconditional and accepting. It is important to feel respected and not judged. Many changes occur when you, the client feel comfortable and safe. I have used this approach over the past 23 years. This foundation will help you to look within yourself. We will collaborate in finding the person within you that is deserving of love and kindness and also build that same person to be strong and assertive. Cognitive, Solution and person Centered therapy are techniques I use to support you on your path of personal growth. Therapy is creative and we will look at issues that may be holding you back from being your greatest self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist due to the enlightened experiences I had in my teen years. I never felt validated and did not have a sense of who I was. This made me want to help others and maybe they could have those same insights and feelings of validation as well. Learning about yourself is one of the greatest gifts a person can have. There is no substitute for having healthy self-esteem and healthy relationships with others. Self-discovery is about seeing how patterns of behavior connect to earlier experiences in life and of course exploring future dreams and experiences.
