About My Clients
All of us are different in our own way. We have each had unique experiences that make us who we are and shape how we see ourselves and the world. I welcome the opportunity to meet you where you are and walk beside you in your journey. I use a person-centered approach and utilize modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and dialectical-behavioral therapy as well as others to provide a therapeutic experience that meets the needs of each client.
My Background and Approach
In my work in counseling, I have worked with clients from a variety of walks of life including military members, veterans and their families and collegiate athletes and I am excited to work with clients from a variety of ages and backgrounds. I have worked with clients on concerns including anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, trauma, PTSD, communication, assertiveness, grief and loss, stress management and LGBTQIA+ related challenges, etc.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all of us have the capacity to be the best version of ourselves when we have the right tools, guidance, and support. I believe that all of us should have the opportunity to grow, change, and discover and none of us should be judged or defined by just one part of who we are. Each of us is unique and in my opinion that is a wonderful thing. I enjoy getting to know what makes each client who they are and collaborating with them to create a therapeutic experience that fits them.
