About My Clients
I work with clients to explore the nuances of what it means to be human and live a deeply fulfilling life. Many of my clients are innovative survivors of oppression, abuse, and harm, while others are coping with stress, anxiety, or climate grief and building resilience in the face of uncertainty. I honor my clients' creative strategies for coping with our challenging world and emphasize their many strengths during therapy.
My Background and Approach
I received my Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Community Mental Health from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I graduated in 2022 from the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis One Year Program: Psychoanalysis and the Sociopolitical World. Additionally, I am working towards AASECT licensure as a sex therapist. In my practice, I incorporate therapeutic art, narrative therapy, humanistic, client-centered, psychoanalytic, and relational techniques. I work in a non-hierarchical and dynamic way, incorporating an eclectic mix of techniques. My work is deeply rooted in social justice and theories of liberation. I work from a liberation-oriented and body neutral lens. I have training in trauma therapy and enjoy working with folks in my LGBTQIA+ community. I additionally provide therapy relating to sexuality, identity, and expansive relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and advocacy and activism are an integral part of my therapeutic work. I provide consultation on best practices for inclusion and support of LGBTQIA+ folks to therapists and organizations.
