About My Clients
My ideal client is one who is ready to do the work and understands that therapy is not about me fixing you, but rather providing tools, skills, knowledge, and resources to help you identify your own areas of growth that will lead to your own personal place of healing.
My Background and Approach
I am a LPC who happens to also teach yoga and meditation. Our work together will consist of traditional therapuetic techniques, as well as breath and movement. I've been trained in trauma-sensitive practices and use EMDR as an adjunt or stand alone clinical service. Specialties include: navigating transitional periods, recovering from co-dependency, improved self-esteem, resolving childhood wounds, behavioral concerns, anxiety and depression, as well as addiction.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Helping clients on their path to an authentic and empowered existence is my mission! Access to information and resources are very close to my heart which is why I sit on the board of a local library to encourage and support continued availabilty of knowledge and culture to my local community. I am also a member of a Black alumni association at my alma mater as a way to remain connected with students of color and to support their growth though academic and professsional endeavors.
