About My Clients
I currently work with men, women, adolescent girls, older adults and families struggling with various concerns like depression, anxiety, conflict, life stressors, grief, adjustments, etc. I have specialities in oncology, medical social work and tobacco cessation. My clients have described my sessions as organic and life changing as we build strong rapport, create realistic goals, learn behaviors/triggers and work to becoming who you are destined to be.
My Background and Approach
I am currently a LCSW in NJ and PA. I have work in residential programs, child protection and oncology/primary care assisting people and families with different concerns like independent living for those with schizophrenia and bipolar to families and adolescents in the child welfare system and those who are affected by cancer and/or chronic pain/terminal illness. I had a wide scope of experiences and how to help the people I work with overcome their challenges. I practice the humanistic and strengths based approaches along with different modalities depending on the client’s needs. I also am a Tobacco Cessation Specialist to assist those who wish to quit smoking.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to change and through hard work and dedication I have watched many people reach their goals at their own individual pace to get there. I meet each client where they are and we will take small, reasonable steps also known as SMART goals to move towards your desired achievement. My values are everyone being created equal and advocating for human rights and justice not justice for one but all. When helpful and requested I practice faith based-Christian counseling to help to understand God’s guidance in their lives and those who seek this find it effective.
