About My Clients
My clients seek a collaborative, comprehensive, and integrative mind-body-spirit approach to transform their anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, dissociation, and life transitions. I offer deep healing over symptom management. I am anti-racist and an LGBTQ+ ally, as well an experienced, competent therapist of Trans+ clients. I've had the privilege of working with clients from a wide array of backgrounds and feel honored that my clients trust me to share their healing journeys.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker and yoga/meditation practitioner. I tailor treatment to the individual and integrate various evidence-based therapy modalities to heal mind, body, and spirit. The result is creating lasting healing and change so my clients can live their fullest possible lives. I deeply see my clients through a bio-psycho-social lens, which acknowledges our biology, experiences, environments, and the legacies passed down to us. I utilize Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, spirituality, and DBT to create an effective treatment for my client's unique needs. I value social justice and cultural competence - particularly around unique spiritual beliefs, and welcome any questions or concerns. My 10-lb. hypoallergenic furry co-therapist Alec Eiffel, PupD often joins our appointments, unless you'd rather he didn't. Alec is a gentle and affectionate Yorkie mix. He is great at helping to heal parts during IFS sessions and is a teaching aid for PTSD psycho-ed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
No one is more of an expert on your life and experiences than you are, of course! Sure, I have letters after my name and I know a lot of stuff that can help you, but ultimately healing is an inside job and helping people facilitate that deep inner healing is a privilege that I enjoy very much. I believe in empowering my clients as I support them. I also think that there is room in therapy for the full spectrum of human emotions. Yes, things will likely get heavy and maybe even tearful as we connect with parts of you that are in deep need of our time, attention, and care, but you should also expect to laugh and smile. Growth and healing can actually be a really enjoyable and enriching experience! I love what I do and my goal is to help you love the healing process, too!
