About My Clients
It has taken you some time to get to this point, but you've started coming to grips with the fact that you can no longer do it on your own. Something needs to change. Perhaps the circumstances in your life have broken you and you feel like you've been going through the motions, merely surviving rather than thriving. Issues like depression, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, and physical ailments have taken the driver's seat. I'm here to help you take back control of your life.
My Background and Approach
I have been passionately providing psychotherapy to a diverse range of adults since 2013, with clinical experiences spanning across VA medical centers, integrated care clinics, community mental health, and university counseling centers. I have received specialty training in issues related to trauma/PTSD, depression, women's mental health, sleep, chronic pain/disability, grief, nicotine addiction, and the Veteran population. My approach is both backed by science and connected to you as a unique human. Research shows that one of the main factors predicting effective therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship. Across my life roles, I take an authentic approach best described as compassionate, flexible, and playful. I aim to create a space in which you feel seen, heard, valued, and understood in such a way that you're willing to keep leaning into the process of healing and change. I use an integrative approach influenced by cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, and humanistic theories.
