About My Clients
I enjoy working with motivated adults who come to therapy with a variety of concerns including anxiety, trauma, relationship stressors, and exploring intersectional identities. Being aware of the stigmas that disconnect Black men from mental health support, I strive to advocate for the impacts of oppression based on all marginalized identities. I'm passionate about working with clients who are seeking a collaborative therapeutic process.
My Background and Approach
I create a therapeutic space where clients can gain the support they deserve through individual or group therapy. I believe that consistent growth cannot occur in a silo - that we, as humans, need one another and in community we thrive the most. I believe interconnectedness and self-realization are essential for wellbeing and help activate our humanity. My therapeutic approach centers around the empowerment that clients gain when becoming more in tune with who they are, and by feeling belongingness and purpose.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my life, I have been keenly aware of the emotional, financial, and academic struggles that carry on through generations both in my own family and other loved ones. Heavily influenced by my father’s self-respect and respect for those around him, I have developed an ability to empathize with the feelings and experience of others. Having experienced violent losses of multiple friends and associates, I am passionate about building a foundation for healing and growth amidst the chaos of my clients' trauma and helping others find their authentic inner voice.
